Hi, I am back :)

Wow, it’s been a while…since the last time I wrote here emoticon Now, my pregnancy has entered the 37th week. I am a very big mom-to-be now….hehehe. I have prepared the baby’s stuffs, a very pleasure time for me. Started the pregnancy gymclass at the hospital, and checked to the doctor every week. Get scared? yup a lil’ bit, sometimes at nite I can’t sleep just to think about the due date, how sick I will be? can I deliver normal? etc etc… but then I just give it up to Allah SWT. I pray for the best, the delivery will be normal and smooth…, I am healthy and strong to deliver my baby, and then my baby will be born healthy, and normal. And of course my husband is also healthy and will be able to accompany me. (Aminnnn, amiin, amiin). Whoops…here he goes again…my baby is moooving inside emoticon

Learning English is Important

Living in foreign country is new for me, and since only for a few days I have lived here (infact since I was in the aeroplane which took me here), I realized how much English is important, to communicate. When I was in the aeroplane, we sat close to an Indonesian guy who wasn’t able to speak English, not that I intend to underestimate him but I’m giving a simple example, when a stewardess asked him what he would like to drink, "coffee or tea?", he said "YES…". But, I admired his courage to fly to Germany and work there, without any English ability. When I got here in Ashgabat, and then my husband started to work offshore, far away from me, I should manage all things by my own self. Of course I need help from some people from the office, the translator, Batir, for example. First help from him was when my apartment electricty turned down because one of the lamps was suddenly "dead". I called him, spoke in english about the problem, and then he called the landlady to ask where was the place of the electricity circuit brake. It was a complicated problem because I didn’t understand any Russian at that time, but English was my savior. And then when I was looking for Russian teacher, Batir also helped me. I started to learn russian, and without English, I won’t learn Russian ever, now I can go to traditional market by my self (ask the prices, ask "can I look this", "is there a blue one" in Russian). My Russian teacher, Anya’s English grammar is not so good, but she understand English, so I have found a friend also. I wouldn’t know that I will travel and live in a foreign country before, but Thank God, my mother had a good thought, she took me to english course when I still on the 3rd grade of elementry school..(Thanks MOM..I love you). Nowdays English is a considered a crucial thing, everyone who can speak or at least understand English will have bigger opportunities, scholarship abroad, having a good job, etc. English is not so difficult to understand, not like any other european language, including Russian emoticon  emoticon  And then there are a lot of English courses, and English grammar books to study, in Indonesia. So I might suggest, learn English as soon as you could…who knows you will need it soon ^__^

Oseng Daging Saus Chili :P

This is my favorite recipe, I found it when there were only limited ingredients in my kitchen. For my surprise it tasted good.. ^__^  It’s easy, and only takes 20 minutes?? (I guess so)

(For 2 person)

Ingredients:
- 3 siung bawang putih (garlic)
- 1 bawang bombay (onion)
- garam (salt) & merica (pepper) secukupnya
- daging sapi (meat) 80-100gr , iris persegi panjang 2x3 cm
dan rebus selama 10 menit agar empuk
- 1 buah wortel (carrot)
- saos chili or saos tomat (tomato/chili ketchup) secukupnya
- Air (water) secukupnya (kira-kira 1/2 cangkir)

Steps:
1. Tumis bawang putih & bawang bombay (pakai margarin/minyak goreng) sampai kekuningan
2. Tuangkan air, biarkan mendidih
3. Masukkan rebusan daging, wortel, dan saos
4. Tambahkan garam dan merica secukupnya
5. Masak sampai matang, sekitar 15 menit
6. Hidangkan bersama nasi panass hehehe

Options:
Daging  sapi bisa diganti udang atau yang lainnya, begitu pula sayuran nya sesuai selera

Here is my oseng daging saus chili looks like. I have eaten half of it :P

my oseng daging  chilli ketchup

I think the chili ketchup did a good job too, here’s also it’s picture :)

Have a nice meal…nyam nyam nyam :D

My Russian Lesson

Privet! Kak Dela?? Horosho??
(Hi! How Are You?? Good??) emoticon

Wow, it’s April 24 now, yesterday was my 6th Russian lesson. I am still learning how to make simple sentences, only now they are longer & complex than before. I am also learning to distinguish feminin & masculin gender. I have ability and courage (now) to ask questions when I was shopping/ buying things at the market. That’s quite good..huh??!! Though I still have my tongue-twisted when I pronounciated some Russian words.

Here’s a little bit examples from my Russian lesson:

1.  My room is big and nice
     Moya komnata bol’shaya i horoshaya

2.  Do you have a red pen or a red pencil ?
U vas yest krasnaya ruchka ili krasniy karandash ?

3.  What do you want?
     Chto viy hotite?

4.  How much is the price?
     Skol’ko eto stoit?

Hmmmm not bad, right???!! It feels good when you know other language, even just a bit. One day, when I went to Yimpas, the supermarket, to shop daily needs, I greet the driver, with "Privet!", and he answered, and asked "Kak Dela?" and I answered "Horosho!", that’s a simple conversation, but somehow I’ve made a conversation. Before it was….only silence….hahahaha

Oh yeah, about my Russian teacher, Anya. She’s 23, and she’s studying Turkish language now at home. Her other activities are teaching me Russian 3 times a week, and having fun (I think…:P)
She has a dog and a cat with 3 kittens (additional information).
She’s nice, and such a good friend to me now. Today we planned to visit a market called Stovantan together (I will write about this later).

Here’s a pic of me and Anya at my apartment. By the way, she already has a boyfriend emoticon.

Strong wind…..again???

I can’t believe, when I published the strong wind part deux, there’s a strong wind again outside :(   But when I saw a lot of people outside were alrite…guess…I really should take this easily…

Strong Wind Part Deux

Lastnite…the strong wind stroke again…for 3 hours from 8 - 11 pm…in Ashgabat.

I’ve tried not too worried about it, but somehow, from my apartment on the 11th floor, the wind seemed so strong. But everybody here acted like it was just a wind…even my russian teacher told me that. Well I think I should take it easy…though I hope it won’t happen again.

Russian & Cyrillic

Dobroe Utro !! (Good Morning!!)

Yesterday was my 3rd Russian lesson at home. Now, I am beginning to learn how to create a simple sentence, for example : This is a book - Eto Kniga - ЭТО КНИГА :) and then I learn names of day in a week. Also I should know how to write them in Cyrillic (Russian alphabet).

From my lesson, I found that, it was difficult to pronounce the Russian alphabet, especially if it’s related with the sound of es, tse, she, or shye…and then zhe or ze. But after a while, a week practising, I started to learn how to distinguish their pronounciations. Though on some words I still got my tongue-twisted in pronouncing them…hehehe

Want to try to read the Russian alphabet with me??

А - A    Б  - Be   В - Ve   Г  - Ge    Д - De   Е  - Ye   Ж  - Zhe   З - Ze   И - i    К-Ke   Л - El

М - Me  Н - En   О - o    П - Pe   Р - Er    С - Es    Т - Te   У - U    Ф - Vhe    Х- Khe   Ц - Tse

Ч - Che  Ы - Uy   Э - e   Ю- Yu    Я - Ya   Ш - She     Щ - Shye

Having some difficulties ??? :D (some of the characters, are prounounced the same way in Indonesian, for example, R, you pronounce it "ER", in Cyrillic, you’ll write it "P")

My Russian teacher, by the way, is a young lady. Her name’s Anya. She’s a nice and a good teacher. Talk about her later ;)
